AOS APPROVAL!
Hello Everyone! I wanted to let all of you know that my time came! I had my interview in NY 05/08/2024 and the I-130 was approved as soon as we left the office. I had a court case from 2013 and though I had the court disposition with me, the officer requested that I go get an updated one with a 2024 stamp and also get a police report to link with the court case. Sadly I couldn’t achieve to get this done by the phone, they needed to scan my license into their system, mind you this happened in the state of Florida and I live in NY. So the day after my interview , I got on a flight and went there in person, the police no longer had any of my records on their the system, so as requested on the RFE, if that was the case, the police, should write a statement as to why they didn’t , and if normally other cases like mine, wouldn’t be in the system . They were all very helpful but couldn’t do it on the spot and needed an approval to write such detailed statement , so I spent the night there and thankfully they provided me with the necessary police report statement and a new disposition court! I uploaded the documents immediately and flew back home and went straight to USCIS to drop off in person the original documents . I was lucky my job were understanding to give me the days off to sort this out and that I also had the financial means to buy a flight ticket last minute . They gave me until August to respond to this RFE, but the fear to be forgotten and set aside for a while, motivated me to get this done right away in hopes of a fast outcome. And thanks to God Almighty, Today I woke up with the approval!✨ For my interview my officer focused solely on my husband, I felt like it was harsh a bit , my husband handed well and with no hesitation ! I was previously married, though I never filed for greencard before , she kept asking him why did he think he was the one for me since I was previously married and for over a decade, she asked a lot of my history from Italy, like where I grew up, when did I come to US, my job at the hospital what I do, how’s my schedule and family!... When it was my turn, she only asked me his name and date of birth, then moved on to the yes and no questions from the application. I have been with my husband since 12/2019, we got married 11/16/2022 filed for AOS 02/06/2023. I never applied for Employment Authorization because I already had it under a different category. My Advance Parole was approved March this year. I want to say don’t lose hope, don’t feel intimidated if you have an interview coming up! I always genuinely cheered for every approval I saw here, but inside me if I’m going to be honest , a felt a bit sad knowing so many of us applied before and didn’t have the same outcome. So for those reading who applied way before me, even, I am truly sorry from the bottom of my heart, it cannot be easy to see so many moving up the line and be stuck. But NEVER lose hope, keep calling, raising inquiries, keep bothering them till you get what you deserve. Lastly Thanks for all the positive words, wishes and for sharing your personal stories, only and truly the people going through what we are going through, can relate and understand us… Good luck to all, stay kind and humble to each other , we are all fighting our own battles, yet we are all equal♥️🙏🏻. Godspeed
