About to file I-485 for the first time!! Help!!!
Hi friends! I'm about to start my I-485 application, but first I'd like to know if you guys have any tips, advice or suggestions I could follow before I start filling it out, or if there's anything I need to know for when I'm already typing in the information. I've heard it's quite long and that some questions could be tricky. Also, how did it go for you? Has it been approved? Did you encounter any issues/problems when filing? This has me super anxious and I want to do it all the right way 🥹 Thank you for your help in advance!

make sure to include i-693 form together so you won’t have to wait for RFE and that reduces your wait time

Make sure you feel comfortable doing it. If you don't feel it, continue doing your research. Check Kseniya International on YouTube. She has some great content.

Also prepare to wait for a long time as it can be a very slow process

Just make sure you send all your evidence together with your package and include as much as you can. Some suggestions are lease/ mortgage, home/ tenant insurance, medical insurance, any bills, bank records, taxes, photos, ID’s showing addresses Also don’t forget to include your ‘long’ form birth certificate that has an official stamp. If you include everything in the beginning you won’t have the need for any RFE delays and will likely get through quicker. Good luck!
