hello I have been approved by uscis noa2 march 13, but I haven’t received the nvc welcome letter yet

I was approved March 15th, 2023 California...Wednesday will be 50 days and yet nothing! I read some are filling out inquiry email NVC asking for case number and with that we can move forward while waiting for welcome letter!! I emailed them 4 times and they said haven't received your application! Today I email and asked for my case # let's see what happens

They said I have to contact them back in a month or so when I contacted them a week ago. Mine was approved March 23rd

Even if you get your case number through an inquiry, you CANNOT continue the process. You need to wait for the welcome letter. The letter is how you know that your case is on its way to your embassy!

So frustrating!! mine noa2 is early April and March seems to slowed down by a lot!

@Jessica V Isn't there some document submission after we receive the welcome letter from NVC? It makes sense to get started with that while we wait for welcome letter...correct me if I'm wrong plz

@A P After you receive the welcome letter, you will complete the DS-160. You CANNOT start or submit that until you receive the welcome letter and your case status shows up as “ready”. In the meantime, you can start gathering documents that you will be taking to your interview.

@Jessica V there are no other forms or documents to be submitted like affidavit of support etc? Perhaps, I understand ds160 form to schedule the appointment.

@A P You do not need to submit anything to NVC. Everything that you will need will be taken to the interview. You need to complete the DS-160 once you’re case is “ready.”

@Jessica V well that's a relief. Now it's just waiting and interview anxiety

@A P You need to wait until you receive your welcome letter. Right now, start gathering all of your documents for the interview.

I got Noa2 on March 24th still no welcome letter yet.

@kate ib we should receive our nvc letters around the same time.

Hi everyone....I got NOA2 on March 23rd still no letter from nvc...please what email should I use to contact nvc? please help out.Thanks.

@kate ib there is inquiry form on the nvc website. I contacted them last week and they said it might take upto 6 weeks for nvc to receive approvals from uscis. Also, There is 2 weeks backlog at nvc after they recieve applications from uscis.

@A P @Jackie B. i received my nvc case number today noa2 march 13 for me i thought i would update on this but i so hope you guys have received it as well just a matter of waiting and submitting one or two inquiries with nvc

@Enika H Thanks for update, I contacted nvc last week, they said they haven't recieved my application yet and they will contact uscis to locate it. I will wait another week and contact them again.

@Enika H I have submitted over 6 or 8 inquiries

@Jackie B. i submitted 4 in total but only the two last ones mattered i think we did an inquiry on our 65th day or something and the response was “you will be notified once the case is sent to the embassy” and i thought to myself hold on did they just forget to give me an actual number so i waited two days and submitted the follow up on 05/25 and got an answer today @A P ive seen people get that response and then its a matter of one or two weeks getting their case number like you think to yourself oh great they are saying they havent received it yet but it looks to me like they dont know what they have until they reach the actual file and start working on it all in all i was keeping my inquiries to them very short and sweet with a sense of surety like i was saying to them “dear nvc officer; can we be provided with out case number so that we can track our status on ceac please and thank you” and thats it (eventhough deep inside i was low key freaking out due to not having any information on when and if they actually had my file and wanted to ask details)

@Enika H I just received email from NVC saying Mexico is not issuing K1 visa at this time and that if my application expires by the time they do issue k1 visa I might have to provide proof again that we qualify for k1 ... HELP HELP HELP!!!! WHAT DO I DO

@Jackie B. what that’s impossible 😳😳 maybe they just dont have availability right now in addition to @A P suggestions to check dept of state website and definitely talk to your lawyer; if you want to join a group of people who are applying in mexico, join this fb group:” K-1 December 2021 filers” there is a lot of posts and daily chat I haven’t found any better support group at this time I am the beneficiary in a completely different country (Albania EU) so I dont know what other embassies are up to

@Jackie B. I don't think we can. As far as I know, case # is required which we all wait for. Case number tells you if the application is with embassy or not and that if it's ready for interview.

I have contacted nvc again as it's been over 60 days since uscis approval.

@Enika H we received case no and invoice from nvc inquiry form. what are the next steps? looks like it takes about 90 days
