hm, I don’t think that it’s going to be like this. I haven’t been interviewed yet. Also My case is not reopen yet. There can’t be green card. I think there is another mistake from USCIS:( “ Hope for the best, expect the worst “

Reece no l did not file motion to reopen but uscis reopen my case for consinderation after sencond interview

i filed my I290B in September 2021 and i got the same update on my i765 that “ case closed benefit received by other means on the 2nd of March 2022, like 6 days ago. From the comments here, i am staying positive that I’ll be getting my GreenCard soon. Thanks guys

Does anyone have any update yet? 😭😭 I got the same update on March 3rd, and am hoping that it is not a glitch and is positive news. I have been monitoring my I-485 and I-130 everyday since (it is so nerve wracking!!) and still no change. I called USCIS yesterday and the agent I spoke with told me to send a letter to the NBC to have them reopen. Dissatisfied with her answer (though a considerable option), I chatted with EMMA and the agent told me she will schedule a callback with a Tier 2 agent, which is what I am now waiting for (hopefully I haven’t messed this up 💀). My case was denied in 2020 for not showing up to an interview, but it was their fault because my call to have them reschedule the interview (days before the interview) did not get to them on time. It is my thinking that when that information was relayed to them, they realized their error, and automatically re-opened my case without me filing a re-open motion. This whole process has worsened my anxiety and caused untold emotional distress. Now my 180-days extension is fast approaching and still not sure about the meaning of the status update. I will remain hopeful that my GC is approved and I hope the same for everyone else. Thank you all for this forum and support, it has been very helpful in keeping sane, and in keeping the faith.

Guys What your other forms are saying? Mine: I-130 - on March 18, 2020 we received your form. I-485 -July 2021 interview was scheduled ( period September 13, 2021 to October 7 , it was saying that it’s denied and then took step back to interview was scheduled ) I-290b ( Motion to reopen )- October 7, 2021 we received your form

o.p just calm down you just got update on your case that case closed benefit received by other mean at this stage l think you dont need to worry you will get aprove soon l have the same uptate with my case 10 days ago and when l call my lawyer my lawyers say l will get aprove soon that is all just calm down everything will be ok you, you are the last stage on your case

@O. P, thanks for sharing; no I don’t. when I wanted to retain one, they told me that they can’t do anything until I get a notice from USCIS (regarding the reopening of my I-485). I’m waiting to see if anything happens with it or to the end of the month before I take a next step.

@Israel Israel, thank you for sharing what your lawyer told you. it does give me some hope. I must have searched and perused EVERY single thread on this type of notice and it seems positive. the wait is just too long and ridiculous. hopefully, they grant us our GC because truth be told, I feel so hopeless.

@isreal lsreal,my friend own was 131 and 765 closed and denied on uscis website ,going to a month now he has not received any denial notice from the mail box ,lawyer said it might be a mistake or missed up we just hope that it so.

my ead renewal aproved 12/3/2021 day after my 130 reopen and receive, 12/16/2021 l filled 131 on 03/07/2023 they close my 131 stated case closed benefit receive other means l did my interviw 06/22/2021

Guys, I don’t want to say anything wrong, but just want to remind you that Israel had Interview 8 months ago and he didn’t file motion to reopen (I-290b). He has different story. We need to look out for our cases carefully, figure it out, call our lawyer, call USCIS.

it’ll be very weird and cruel for them to update with such a status if they were going to deny anyways. they might have as well just updated it to “case was denied”. why say benefits received by other means, and why not just state which other means it is? this is literally too much.

Status on the motion still says "We Received your case and a receipt has been sent " 1485 - Still says denied only update has been the 1765 Reading all the threads I'm sure hoping this is the last stage before the green card.🙏🏼

Just for the 1290b. And that is only because my husbands 1485 had been pending for 6 years until they denied him on Oct 1. We had done research and it was advised to obtain an attorney for a motion
