case is ready to to be scheduled for an interview i-485
i just got an update this morning that my case is ready to be scheduled for an interview (got an update from case tracker not from here yet)
i was expecting my interview would waived but it didn’t happen.
do you know how long it would take to received a notice ? how long it would take to be scheduled for an interview?
also, is there still a chance that interview might be waived??

It’s the closest field office to where you live. It seems like more and more people are getting interviews.

@Charlie SC I have got a question guys. I have an approved I-140 (through premium processing) and the instructions on the approval notice mentioned to send my adjustment of status documents to the service center that approved my case. the address is beneath the I797. so when I am filling the AOS package, do I send to the direct filing address on USCIS website or the one on the approved I-140?

They might approve your case, but I think your family will still need to attend the interview.

I don’t even have dependents and my case is very straightforward, but I still had to attend the interview. Nobody knows why.

Within two weeks they scheduled my appointment, but status didn’t change. I asked Emma for the interview date. They later sent the letter. Almost 45 days from the first interview status change to the interview date. But it depends on how busy your FO is.
