i have same situation since 2019 January they canceled my interviews like September 12 2109 and still nothing updated they just said when i m calling ur case is under security background chk asap we done will send u notifications by mail that’s it same answer since 14 months

when I call they said everything is fine. and didnt mention background check. plus my case never scheduled an interview...

I just renewed mine. this is so frustrating. I dont understand why is it so hard to get an interview

yeah i got it on february too. why did u renew it?. i should probably do the same

I followed some immigration group on FB and they suggested to renew it 180 days before it expired. because mine is expiring in jan 2021 and I really dont think I can get my interview before that...

than u should applying now than u get ur new ead like in 90 days i just got my one yesterday i m applied june 18

Thank you for the info!. im def applying soon. mine expries on Feb. hopefully you will get some news soon. mine says is ready for an interview since january but haven't gotten anything. There are so many things that influence their decisions. I have seen people getting their green card 3-4 months after applying. its been a whole year for me :/

I got the update right before they closed due to corona virus. you should have gotten that update already.

yeah and when I call they said everything looks fine. I didnt miss any rfe or anything so I did a service request and they just got back to me said my case still within normal processing time and I should just wait .

I'm marriage based to US citizen so I'm immediate relative, no Visa bulletin for me.

I thought the visa bulletin applied to immediate relatives as well. Im also married to a US citizen and when i checked the visa bulletin somehow it matched with the updates I got.

US citizen's spouse and unmarried kids under 21 are exempt I think. we should be the most direct and fast applicant.

I know. when I started all this process I was hoping it was gonna take 3-4 months but who knows when we would get our interview. it's frustrating. I also talked to somebody on this app. She got her interview and after a year they weren't given her a response. I hope that doesn't happen to us.

yeah I've seen lot of people posting that their case went to background check after interview and didn't hear anything for years. I'm so sad and scared
