when did you become DQ’ed?

@sh p K-1 applicants do not get DQ’d. They do not submit anything to USCIS. @Moe Al a lot of embassies do not have slots open. So, you just have to check a few times a day to see if they have an opening!

@jessica. I know that but I just wanted to know a frame range of how long should it take. Is it longer than the wait for spouse appointment or shorter and I know the embassy sets time for spouse appointment however K1 is that I have to book on my own

@Moe Al I can’t give you a time frame. It all depends on your embassy. If there’s nothing open, it’s for a reason. That’s why I said that you have to regularly check the website for appointments because some can show up fast. @sh p Yeah, the CR1 and K-1 process are similar, but slightly different.

@Moe Same thing here. I’m trying to get our K1 interview scheduled at the Ankara embassy but can’t find an open slot on their “ Official U.S. D.O.S. Visa Appointment Service Turkiye” site.

@philip when did the NVC sent your docs to the embassy?

@Moe March 3, 2023. I can’t find a slot on the website though. My fiancee and I were wondering if it’s because the Presidential Elections are happening in a few weeks.

Pretty sure this is all first come first serve - which is kinda annoying because we might be vying for a slot against all of these non-immigrant visa folks since we gotta schedule our own K1 Interviews

I have been waiting for interview for K1 visa since January 2023 I applied for k1 visa in June 2021 till now I am waiting for interview it’s crazy the embassy sent me email after million emails I sent them complaining they said that theu regulary make k1 visa appointments available and that we should keep close eye on the ais website but it’s BS!! Because we have been checking the website like a full time job every single hour since January till now and still no single change it’s honestly sooooo bad because our life is on hold or jobs is on hold and we don’t even know when the embassy will open appointments could be one week or one year later and that’s soooooo messed up !

@Noora Hazim, I know that! It is werid. Same thing they told me but I don’t think it will be soon! Since many people are waiting even since last year so I don’t know when we will have a chance

It’s very disappointing we are stuck we can’t get married because we need to do process again for k2 visa and we can not transfer because k1 visa interview only can be done in resident country and we are blindly waiting for an interview like this now 😭idk what we can do in this case !!!

I don’t understand one thing why do they accept the case from NVC when they gave huge blockage ? It’s very weird I heard in UAE in one year they did only 10 interviews can u imagine?we are here trying to enter legally and everyone else going to the Mexican border and they are welcome to enter illegally very easily 😂what a strange world we are living in!!!

@noors Hazim .. in ankara you don’t need to have residency in Turkey.. it used to be but not anymore so you shill be good. Just wait for it. I don’t know when we will have appointments but we have no other options unfortunately

Yikes, that's annoying. Me and my fiance are actually Turkish residents for the past 2 years and are going to transfer our K1 visa for her to the Ankara embassy from Warsaw. Please keep us updated as to when you do get an interview date. Best of luck!

Hello, I received my welcome letter this week and now my case was sent to Ankara. Do anyone know please if I'm supposed to wait for the Consulate Embassy Ankara to reach out or am I supposed to start the Ds160 and fees?
