Hi .. Did you submit for an extension or a New EAD? Did they ask for any evidence to raise the expedite request? can you please help me with this info . I am waiting since 7 months to get my EAD approved and no luck yet .

I am waiting on an extension, my previous EAD was valid from May 20 to May 21. Surprised a renewal is taking so long, thought it would be quicker.

@prajakta pathak my EAD application is at national benefits center. I requested to expedite through USCIS emma online under financial hardship/loss category. I was not asked to provide any proof, think I got really lucky there with the agent. I have my I-130 application at Potomac too.

@CG P7 when is your PD? how long have you waited for extension? maybe try to expedite request, worst case scenario is denial to expedite, no impact to your current application.

@CG P7 that was my reason for expedite that got approved. I bought a new property and explained that I would have financial difficulty supporting it. no request for evidence was ever emailed to me, went straight to expedite request approved.

your request should update status to “expedite request received” and then approved 🤞🤞

same for me - next day it changed to ‘received’

I was also given a reference number for that request but didn’t need to use it. status updates was all I needed. ref number would be useful if you have to send any support or call to pull up that specific request.

just the expedite request has been approved yesterday, I haven’t gotten any other status updates yet

Hi Anand - I am still waiting on expedite decision for EAD. I did receive a response on GreenCard SR - this was due to being outside of normal processing - response should be by 31.01

Yes, rejected - even though I am on unpaid leave and daughter has medical issues. It was not ‘emergent’ in nature…..

Hi all we have submitted the expedit request a week back and stats changed to received and we got email for document list for proceed but they did not mention the supported document list any idea about document list

For those who submitted proof could you shed some light as to what kind of documents were submitted? in my case i am the beneficiary with sole income and sponsor actually is US Citizen but student. my h1b maxes out this november 2023
