was there any legal reason you didn't apply right away? @Alex B . did you apply with an attorney or filed on your own? I'm thinking of applying right away just getting a copy of my RTD and fill out the form send in right away since it takes 14+ months

what? really? 2 year 😳? @Alex B you actually saw an RTD that was 2 years? so what did you say when explaining? i'm thinking of putting my dad's health the way I did for expedite - explaining that I have to go every few months to help him out so want to make sure I have an RTD right after this one expires

did you mention you'd return it to them once it expires?

@Immigration Guy yes I saw 2 y.RTD and a screenshot where Emma confirms validity. I told them by the time you open my application my rtd will be expired and returned promptly.

oh jeez that's ridiculous. honestly me and you should launch a community thing lol. i worked with Immigration lawyers too and would love to create a community and invite lawyers, etc. tax experts to do sessions on monthly basis to give immigrants perspective about every aspect and have a free platform to interact @Alex B

@ray Q8 I received it today ( 6 days after that email) @Alex B did you send a scanned copy of your RTD when you filed for renewal form i131? what I'm seeing here to be sent in is 2 photos, proof of asylee status, and a copy of your past (current) RTD + the money order of $165 just wanted to check it you sent anything else or if you even sent the copy of your current RTD

it's not a pasaport but a refugee travel document. and it's 1 year. if you got that email you should get it in a week my friend. good luck on your travels!!

@Immigration Guy oh i see , you should apply for re-entry permit it’s same refugee travel documents but it’s for 2 years and give you right to stay outside US more then 6 months without having issues

i dont have gc yet @ray Q8 + you need visa in more countries than the RTD

@Immigration Guy I only sent application and a check. got my receipt 30 days later. Wife's application was in the same envelope but they haven't sent her receipt. I am worried

they are so weird @Alex B , one last thing if you don't mind, remember when it asked you in the form have you ever been issued RTD and then at the bottom says disposition (attached,lost,etc.) what did you put there?

@oriana Zambrano you need to meet one of their criteria and keep bugging them to send it to the adjudicating officer from the tier 2 officer. I had a medical emergency that's why they expedited

I have applied for an expedited i 131 Rtd 03/22/24 and on 06/17/24 they approved my expedite. But till then i havent received any response from USCIS. QUITE UNFORTUNATE.

I submitted expidite request of i730 almost one but i didn’t hear anything from uscis. i call them many time but they don’t care. what should i do i need your advice please 🙏🙏🙏

@Zahid Sabri USCIS recently posted updated guide for expedite request. read it. Fastest way is to set up an appointment in your local field office. if that doesn't work meet with state governor or lieutenant - general

@Alex B i have submitted my expidite request myself and through congress man but still i am waiting for update uscis they approved or denied my request just little bit frustration you can feel my pain how it is . i appreciate that your advice. how long these days will take for approved I730 petition.

@Ameer Zaman while green card processing time significantly improved, RTD statistics continues to be discouraging with the increase of average document being issued within 12 to 18 months
