Same here, I got approved on March 4,2023; and my status in my USCIS account is “Case approved” so I got the same question.

yes I only received “we have taken action on your case” but on my account i saw my approval notice

Wow! I got approved too March 3 No Interview..Case Approved I-485. No update for today still Case Approved but I will receive my Social security today as per USPS. I saw it in my account notification. It generated to ss services when i got approved last friday 3/3. Usually sequence is New card is being produced then Case Approved but for somehow we jump on Case approved so we will expect to received our card either this friday or saturday as my social sec is already coming tonight. Its true and legit...Thank you God!!!

@arowana Lucky I received my SSN card yesterday and it has the wrong spelling of my first name… Im just waiting for the green card to be delivered so I can fix the name issue in the social security office

@ Chris T. Oh sorry to hear that but at least we got approved! I ll check mine later hopefully there is no misspelled. We should be receiving our GC either this friday or saturday. My friend's GC same situation. His! stuck on Case approved didn't changed at all but received in 7 days....

my I 485 approved on 28/2 and just received approval notice after one week no update on uscis website no green card yet. do they send green card without notice or usps tracking number?

@M G still the same Case approved. But i will received the approval letter tomorrow both I130 and I485. EAD is different and i think its faster. I also don't know if it has something to do with GC redesigned. It started this Jan 2023. @ Chris T i received my ss and its missing my middle initial so as soon as i get my gc i ll go to SSA office. I am still hoping to get the GC before end of this week!

@arowana Lucky yes i believe that’s maybe the delay the redesigne of the green card. Maybe we will be the first batch to receive it that’s why it’s taking for ever i don’t even know if i’m a resident yet because this letter i received uscis say it’s doesn’t give you any benefits it’s only a courtesy notice technically i’m still illegal can’t work can’t drive how cruel ☹️

@ Noor Karim We are already Lawful permanent resident since the day that USCIS approved our AOS thats why some of us already received the SSN that doesn't have a marked of anything like not valid for work or something. We can even go to USCIS local field office for i551 passport stamp as a proof of LPR if you really need to go to DMV to apply for Driver license. Rest assured we are already LPR.

@M G hello no update so far .According to what I saw , it may take one month to receive it. I know someone who has been approved one month ago and he just received hi GC. I agree the production process is different for GC and takes more time to receive it

We are all anxiously waiting for the physical card as we have waited months, year for this to happen hahaha. Anyway this is a good wait better than awaiting for an approval. If i dont receive any update tomorrow like card produced then i will make an appointment to go to my uscis local field office (Sacramento) thru emma, infopass to have a stamp i551 on my passport as i need to go so SSA office to fix my name on my SSN. and DMV for real ID…Have a wonderful day to everyone..Chill! we reach the end of tunnel. @arowana Lucky We have mailed an official notice about this case (and any relevant documentation) according to the mailing preferences you chose on Form G-28, Notice of Entry of Appearance as Attorney or Accredited Representative. This is a courtesy copy, not the official notice. anyone receive any other mail other than approval notice my lawyer still didn’t receive anything from uscis yet.

@Noor Karim I will only received the approval notice of i130and 1485 based on my usps informed delivery. When i got approved last March 3 i informed my Attorney that i have already approved both and she just congratulated me and told me I will received my GC next month which i doubt because some of people here at lawfully received it within 7-10 days after approved.

guys I got a question: Once I got the approval notice, do I have to do finger prints again or is that “you may need to do biometrics” only part of a standard message on all approval letters?

@Darina K I sent my I-693 (Medical RFE) thru USPS last Feb 8, 2023 and it arrived in the Queens FO Feb 9, 2023 (according to my USPS tracker). My status changed to RFE received last Match 1, 2023 then it changed to Case approved the following day March 2, 2023.

do you guys know if I can get a stamp on my passport that shows that I am a green card holder in order to travel as I am waiting for the actual green card to be mailed?

I need to travel this week abroad and I got my approved notice last week.

I got mine within ten days of case being approved. you don’t get any intimation, it just arrives in the mail. good luck!
