by the time they approve it make sure your husband H1b is valid

h1b is valid till 2022

this should not be the case ideally..they should count the day when it was received and it’s already been 9 months you should ask them to expedite again

that’s ridiculous..I will suggest talking to them again or consult a lawyer..my attorney says ur processing time starts from the day notice was received..please let me know if something works for you ..am following same pattern and my wife H4 and EAD filed was filed separately…still waiting for both approvals

Today i called them they told me to wait for 7 days

my wife H4 receipt date is sept 30 2020 and EAD date is nov 9 2020… we tried expedite request on EAD but was denied ..thinking of doing an expedite request on H4 as well..I believe they won’t start working on EAD unless H4 is appproved

btw that’s good news if they asked to wait for seven days..hopefully it will come along ..these guys remind me of Indian sitcom office office :)..also do you have the number and instructions to talk to visa officers..I just got to talk to agent not a tier 2 officer

yes thats true they are not going to touch your ead untill h4 approval

no just told the agent that my case is pending since 11 months and other things after that he told me that your case officer is gonna contact you

ok so the case officer called you back and told you it will take seven days

I am curious too. kind of on the same boat here . My h4 was filed on Aug 2020 EAD filed on oct 2020 biometrics done on May 4th 2021 h4 approved on July 9th. Now waiting for EAD. I wonder how long will have to wait for it now.

hey congrats..did you speak to them after that call you had with agent ?dis case officer speak to you ?

no but i tried many things sending my h4 extension approval(denied) , service requests(denied) , congressman( they told me that they have sent an enquiry on my case but no reply from uscis) , ombudsman (no response)

how do you open a request with congressman and ombudsman ?

you can google your area congressman 1. you can call them 2. you can fill their form on their website

update : both H4 and EAD got approved..H4 approved last week and today EAD was approved

@Shikhar Srivastav congratulations!!and thanks for the update. did you do anything that helped to get it approved . Its been 10 months and still waiting for my EAD. The wait is so long it’s really frustrating.

nothing..I tried expedite once on both H4 and EAD..but that was month and half back and both were denied

I think once H4 was approved they approved ead in 2 days

has anyone got a job after getting EAD card.Wanted to know as it’s covid and remote working can we send employer a scan copy of EAD card for employer verification rather than showing physical copy..asking because I have to send card back

I applied H4 and H4 EAD Texas center concurrently. My RD:2/17/2021 H4 got approved EAD still pending Raised many expedite requests they are getting denied.Raised processing out of normal time requests.Getting the same templated answer. Contacted congressmen.No use. Any suggestions what to do now please.
