Have we ever had a step back in filing dates? My friend said August 1st is not the real filling date cause sometimes final action date is considered for filing I-485. Is it true?

Each month, USCIS announces whether to use Table A (Final Action Dates) or Table B (Dates for Filing). In the last two Visa Bulletins, they indicated that for filing, we must use Table A (Final Action Dates).

They usually use the Dates for Filling table the firsts 2 or 3 months of the fiscal year. so it’s true. as @Lucyeta OC mention. Each month they decided if AOS should use table A or B

thank @Lucyeta OC and @Cristhian Mora I was always checking the filing date from this Lawfully app. So this app does not say it and still I need to read the bulletin by myself?

yep lawfilly app shows you the timeline based on your PD and both tables. however is better to see the monthly VB notes from USCIS to understand and know if you can do a AOS based on B table. NOW as I mentioned before they usually uses the table B for the 2 - 3 first months of the fiscal year. Saying this, We will probably see them using table A until e next October or November.
