@Edicson atimes its arrive before u even get your EAD card and if not u need to go or contact your local SSN office to have one.

@Aji some people online are talking about delays as well. Could it be cause of covid?

mine arrived earlier than my EAD, one day apart. all in all, 1 week from Card being produce to delivered. Card Being Produce: 09/15 SSN: Sept 22 EAD: Sept 23

as soon as I got my EAD, I booked an appointment to the SSA.

@RL I have one for the 29th but I should have gotten the card long time ago cause I checked marked it with my application

@edicson, I did check that part too on the I-765 but as soon as I called USCIS to verify if they applied the SSN on my behalf they told me to contact SSA. when I called SSA, they said I have to appear in person to get SSN and bring my EAD.

did you call them and tried to confirm? they can check it in their system.

I didnt know you could call USCIS to get information. last I called SSA they said USCIS hasnt not sent them anything so they told me to wait. Talking to SSA is tragic they all have different opinions and very unprofessional

you better go personally to SSA and have your SSN. there are many cases here I have read who didn’t get their SSN even after ticking YES with 765 application form and personally went to SSA office to have one.

@edicson, I called USCIS to ask about my SSN application and they said call SSA. when I called SSA they said I have to go to my local office and book an appointment. I called my local SSA office and it took me forever before I was able to hold of somebody. I booked an appointment because my local office doesn't deal with USCIS

we got SSN with EAD documents

don’t wait for ur SSN after 3 days of calling my local SSA they gave me an appointment after almost 3 weeks so another wait, this is crazy!!

I called my SSA office, they didn't even give me appointment. they took my information and told me that I am on wait list to receive the call for appointment. oh man!!!

@Samran I’m the same boat. Every agent tells me something different. last angent told me to call USCIS to see if they sent my information but she didn’t even took any information of mine to check and wouldn’t even let me schedule an appointment.

Edicson: just tell them you got a job offer and it's been 3 weeks you got EAD. so it's kinda urgent hence I request to pls schedule my appointment. that worked for me. hope it works for you too

@Samran actually it has been 4 weeks. According to their website it only takes 7 days. I’m also waiting for them to call me to schedule an appointment and they never did

I got a call in there afternoon. they scheduled me on Oct 20

My brother is in the same boat as me and he managed to get an appointment for the 29th. I think I’m just gonna go with him and talk to them personally
