How to update/upgrade case status from F2A to IR1?
Hello,
My spouse (petitioner) recently became a US citizen (from a green card holder) and we're interested in updating/upgrading the case status from F2A to IR1. Has anyone successfully completed this process? If so, could you kindly share the procedure with us? I130 has approved before my spouse's naturalization and we're waiting for I485 approval. Thank you for any advice!

you should send an inquiry to nvc with naturalization certificate then they will upgrade

@DioM D Thanks for the reply but when we reached out to NVC, they asked us to contact USCIS. We're looking for someone who actually successfully completed this process! Thanks still!

Not sure if this helps since my petition has not been approved yet. I sent a letter with a copy of the naturalization certificate to the respective uscis field office that has the case. I then send a query through the message option in the online account asking if they got it and if the petition was upgraded. They mentioned that it was along with the date when it was upgraded. If I remember correctly it took less than a month to get it upgraded.

I chat with Emma and request for i-130 upgrade. They upgraded for me 4 days later but there is still nothing new yet after it.
