How unfair is it to Religious Workers to be in this category EB4?!
I have no words to express my frustration and indignation with the way religious workers have been treated.
Can we move a lawsuit against USCIS as a group?

It is so unfair! Will the new administration do anything to help with this retrogression?
G GFeb 12, 2025
My suggestion would be we requested to be put in a separate category for only priests. how possible is that.
G GFeb 12, 2025
complaining will not solve the issue, no one is attacking religion. Eb4 carries many types of applications, if the distinction is made and the religious category is placed separately that would be nice. my friend G.L has anyone in your religious community contacted the senate about this issue? if we keep playing victims we won't solve any issues rather retrogression will continue happening and no one will know the religious category is affected.

@G L I personally contacted my representative, If many people contacted their representative it would be better since it would be a collective initiative, otherwise complaining here on this privately held app will absolutely not be of any help to any of us. assume each and every priest in the country personally contacted their representative this issue would be resolved. since we are priests and are privileged to have a following of believers through them we can push for the good cause. π Have a good night my friend.

This is so sad, retrogressed 1.5 years+

I believe the best course of action is to contact our representative, not to check the status of our case, but to request that they bring this issue to the attention of the authorities. We need to emphasize that we are a minority in a line where we shouldn't be. While I respect the other individuals in this category, we should not be included in this line. Do you understand? Letβs reach out to our representatives and ask them to address this matter. I believe establishing a subcategory for RW would be appropriate.

Complaining here is unproductive; it's merely venting. We must create a movement to change our reality.

. Friends, I hear your frustration, and I share it as well. When the first major retrogression occurred in 2022, I created a Twitter page called Religious Workers Coalition. On this page, I regularly post about the challenges faced by the religious community, updates on the retrogression, politicians' responses, and related issues. We also share information about ongoing lawsuits filed by some churches against the government over this matter and how Senator Susan Collins and Senator Tim Kaine are currently working on a bipartisan bill to provide relief for religious workers. I believe the bill primarily focuses on allowing religious workers to remain in the country even after the five-year expiration of their R-1 visa.
Our Twitter (now called X) page, with around 140 followers, is a growing community where we exchange ideas on this issue. Recently, we have been collaborating with International Broadcasters (who are also in the EB-4 category) to raise awareness. Additionally, we are developing a website, thebacklog.org (feel free to check it out), to provide further insight into the situation.
I encourage you to join our community so we can share ideas and work together to find a solution.
