Congrats!! Seems about right for a us citizen filing for a child under 21 - consular processing.. waiting time is usually under 280 (Texas Center) days from what I have been observing the last 12 months…

@Uygar Yalçın, The question @Dylan D asked, does have something to do with the process. If your both in the US then the process can be faster, but if your separated (1 person in the US and 1 person abroad) then the process can take longer.
