hi may i ask what was your process for the i601a waiver

I-601A was received January 2021. I had tried DACA about 3-4 years ago (it was denied), but they used those same biometrics in March 2021. I was actually very surprised they had them on file. So far, no other updates from USCIS. I call once a month and they just keep blaming the pandemic for the long wait times.

wow same same situation with my husbans case he had applied to daca 4 years ago as well and 2as denied because the laywer we had at that time didnt summit my husbans high school diploma so they denied him for that lawyer didnt even wanna appeal so we had no hope till now that his 130 was approved and we had to pay 3500 to a phyciologist to do a big package of 30 plus pages are lawyer summitted it 1 week ago so just waiting om the conformation they recived it its a long process and tbh a little stressful

I agree the process is so long. It's ridiculous and ruining peoples' lives. I-601A has some of the longest wait times. I haven't even had a single person, here or on Reddit, tell me that their's was approved. I'm assuming that when people are finished, they don't go back to update their posts. I would really like to hear from more people that completed the process so we have more insight and information.

Wait times are basically 2 years (or more) for the I-601a, thats our next step too and I can't stand looking at that ridiculous wait time. It used to be 5 months. Hopefully USCIS gets more funding and can hire new staff to get numbers back down ASAP.

hello my receipt date is also january 2021 . i saw some approval from the facebook page(i601a) for february 2020. i was happy.i said ok they still working on our cases.and i saw this before 4 month. after that nothing.no.more approves.. i check almost everyday and nothing. i dont think so is the pandemic the problem.

since you receipt date.no the fingerprint!!

mine is 355 from the day that they receive my waiver.now is working in february march 2020.nebraska service.is very slow.

Wilder M - Your case is almost at the 25 months mark. If you still don't hear anything by then, maybe you can submit an "Outside Normal Processing Time" inquiry to USCIS.

i would but it says its not outside normal processing. it has to hit 27.5 months to do it. but I will try when I hit 25

USCIS just upped the waiting time again… 22.5-28.5 months. Fantastic.

@J J - Every state is different. In Arizona, you need a social security number.

@ D Ava in Florida also needs immigration status which is frustrating in terms of waiting longer for decisions.

tried to reach out to tier 2 agent but they said they dont have any idea if its on processing now.. been a while and so frustrating now

wilder m https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/ at the very bottom it asks for your receipt date and if you are Feb 25 you should be able to do an inquiry about your case!

if you guys going to call for the first time and you can reach them, say INFOPASS, not customer service. they will direct you to Agent Tier 1, they only know about your case, but tell the Agent 1 to connect you to Agent Tier 2 which is real USCIS officer. they will schedule you a call back within 30 days depending on your case. hope this help. Tier 2 respond to me within 30 days. they call me back.. they said my case is on processing and wait for the decision to come out.

While I appreciate the frustration that some people don’t have a way to get their papers and that is totally unfair, expecting anyone to be grateful that they have to wait nearly 3 years for any kind of application is ridiculous. We should not just be happy for the crumbs they are throwing at us. I am a US citizen, I am entitled to file for immigration benefits and I qualify for those that I am applying for. We should speak up and push back when the government is not doing their duty. Even they know it’s unacceptable and has been stated in every yearly report. They are working to hire and reduce the backlog but pretending to be grateful when they created the problem helps no one. I will keep speaking up to my congressman and the ombudsman because that is how things get done. The squeaky wheel gets the oil.

yes, L.L. I’m a born and bred American citizen with a husband who is dying to get his papers. I’m supposed to be thankful? after three years?? nope. I am calling my congressmen again.

I haven’t submitted my application as of yet!! I can’t believe it takes more than 2 and a half years!!! Wow should have done this 10 years ago when we first got married. Unbelievable🥺

@liliana yes it sucks! I submitted mine about 2 years ago (about 2 months before covid hit) & my lawyer told me it would be a 2 year process…. well it’s been 2 years and my waiver has been in since December 2021 and “processing normally” which sucks :(

they received mine 08/12/2019.. and still no clue whats going on yet on my application..

I heard people do get response after they file a mandamus against USCIS.. we can form a group and file it and might get some attention..

it’s so funny you mentioned that, I’m looking into filing a writ of mandamus. there have been no actions at all on our cases. is it possible to do a joint filing??

I guess mandamus action can be done only after if the case is going after the mentioned processing time(i am not sure).

@Abby f I follow some famous attorneys and I guess joint filing is possible if the Attorny is agreed and through one portal we can form a group and file it. joint filing would also be more effective and cheaper since each mandamus can cost 5k.

N Vj most attorney don’t take processing times into account and encourage to file for mandamus.
