Wil Alex, no we did not have a lawyer. So, we did everything ourselves and waited these long 29 months. We checked USCIS processing time estimate all the time and we asked regularly every quarter, through MY USCIS account, which service center was taking care of our case because they could change without telling you sometimes. Then we sent the request and also to messages as soon as we knew we were out of the normal processing time. Each time you have to give them 30 days before asking again. We chatted with “Emma” to ask after the 30 days and we’ve been told to wait 30 more days. Finally, nearly 2 months out of the processing time, we got the message that our case was “actively reviewed” just beforeit has been approved. I think there is no miracle, we are just standard people loving each other, nothing special but nothing wrong either, and I think afterward we needed just enough time for USCIS to get through the case. Easy to say now but my advices are : just give it time, stay tune, show you care, show you actively check regularly, be patient, find a way that it does not affect too much your daily life and don’t give up. We still have a long way to finalize the whole process until we receive the green card in the letter box but it helps to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I wish you the same. @ Namtarn ..I spoke to uscis couple of weeks ago. and all they said is my estimate processing time is over so they put in a request and they said it will update in 30 days ..

I’m now out of the normal processing time by the end of this month ..that’s 29moths .a ticket was put in for me and they told me it will update in 30 days ..

today I’m out of normal processing time , and I called USCIS and they told me your case been reviewed so I can’t do outside of normal processing time request or anything. he told me just wait it’s may take days , weeks , months and maybe denied it . that’s exactly what he said .

@Mal Glenn It is exactly what they told us to wait within 30 days and when it passed 30 day we Chatted with Emma and told to go to representatives one -real staff and she checked that we did sent many inquiries and it longer than 30 days waiting period so she said see will assist us to submit the inquiries for us and it will sent to Tier2 office (we were not sure what is this and she said the will contact us in 30 days) so we did not hope the positive result.my husband have the account with USCIS he did sent the message to ask about inquiries outside normal processing time that already longer than 30 days ,from the account on Feb18,2022 and they answered us beginning of March that they will address our case to Nebraska to look at our case and they gave us another number of inquiry with Nebraska services center. we also did not expect positive result.as we checked the case status or our account everyday my husband saw that they created the approved file on our account and March 11 we have updated that our case was approved. so we are not sure they looked at our case bc of the inquiries we sent or the inquiries that the representatives sent for us or both.but we tried every way we could figure out.

@Mal Glenn, sometimes when we submit the inquiry outside normal time and days after the processing time changed.we waited until our PD was outside normal processing time and send the inquiry again so the last time so like usual they tell us to wait 30 days for response and after 30 days passed we still didn’t hear anything back so we started to sent the message from USCIS account and thought live chat with representative .I think if you waited over 30 days you should try both like me but If not they going to tell you to wait until 30 days. they always sent me just the inquiry case number each time.
