hi, I received also an interview cancellation when I file N400. because they put divorce on my appointment notice I contacted them to put married. I asked why they canceled they didn't respond. I went to my interview and nothing was cancelled. I got my citizenship.

@Pri, my interview was ok, it was very smooth & basic, no out of pocket questions, just the test & she went through the basic questions on my form & asked me if I wanted to change my name. The interviewer did not smile at first but after awhile she was nice. Interview took literally 10-15 mins. They called me back to the office to sign my change of name form so they could schedule ceremony.

No prob! Wishing you all the best. just carry all your documents & tax returns. I took mine with me but she didn’t ask me for them, all she asked for was green card, passport, drivers license & divorce decree to copy & give me them back.

You might need a affidavit of support. make sure you take 1 with you along with their tax returns just to be on the safe side. I’d say check it out

@L D your oath is canceled because of your name change. your oath will be done by a judge and not an immigration officer so they will reschedule your oath ceremony at the appropriate time . And again No affidavit of support is needed with N400 application

@Trident Bx, yeah I know it’d be done by a judge but what’s the sense of scheduling it & then cancel it?

normally, it takes some time to schedule this kind of appointment

Update: got my good new this evening….so after USCIS cancelled my Oath Ceremony May 7th without any explanation they have FINALLY rescheduled my Oath Ceremony after so many calls (at least 3x per week I spoke to Tier1 Agents, requested Tier2 & processed case out of normal time) #ThanksBeToTheLord….I pray everyone else gets some good news this week if not very soon #All the best guys & please call them as much as possible because I never let go of hope🙏🏾 #PrayersUp🙏🏾

hi Laiba, I’m so sorry to hear. they rescheduled my ceremony on June 28th & I was naturalized July 28th. My suggestion to you is call them daily or at least 2-3x per week, request to speak with a Tier2 Agent and even ask to speak with a manager (that’s what I did) & process case out of normal time. I was very persistent & I never take no for an answer. I pray they reschedule your ceremony soon & best of luck.
