Don't get your hopes up on expedite. I work for the DSF in the military and had a letter from an admiral and local congressman. I fit the criteria because I deploy sometimes on a moments notice and also gave them orders for an upcoming deployment. I hands down fit the criteria for expedite and was still denied multiple times. I hope the case is different for you but it was part of the process that really got our hopes up. I felt like they dangle that carrot but only approve expedite when it's convenient or a favor. I’m in the same boat…. I fit the criteria for expedite…. the first expedite after 10 days still didn’t open account, did a second request the very next day denied because I did not provide supporting evidence, but they never even asked for rfe…. just denied

I did the last request July 19 they denied July 20 and my expedite request definitely fit criteria

my expedite request was July 6 no response yet

I had to send two request and it was the second that got the reply the first they had for ten days no reply

it was denied. I'm active duty and deploy over half the year and most of the time on a moments notice. If I didn't fit the expedite with recommendations from very high officials and an insane amount of supporting evidence then I honestly don't understand who fits the criteria. I hope my case was just in the wrong hands and yours finds the right hands. Good luck April

I wish that was the case with me😔. I should find out my NOA2 I'm the next couple weeks as per the processing timelone now. Dec 21st is my NOA1 for K1 Visa. It's a nightmare for us because I'm leaving next week for three months and won't be able to respond if we have an RFE. I really needed the expedite 2 months ago and not because I wanted to get my fiance here faster but just to be able to respond to any situation that might arise. It's crazy because I had a letter from an Admiral and congressman stating the importance of expedite due to the nation's interest. Makes me wonder who has the power to deny these things😅😪😪

wow so they are really just controlling people lives like that….. that is shameful….. if they take too long for their decision, then I will just move to his country…. I will not leave my life in their hands

Yea, its really disappointing. I can't believe this is what we are left with. If I was able to I would gladly move to be with my fiances country but not able to at the moment. On the bright side it does look like things are starting to move faster. Regardless I hope you get that expedite and give them as much supporting documentation as you can.

mines were for cervical cancer and they denied it… I will be having surgery soon and will not be able to take care of myself and they denied it because they said I did not provide evidence, but the problem is they did not even ask for it even when I stated I had supporting documents

awww I am so sorry and it really disappoints me that they aren't reaching out to you asking for more information. I would reach out to your local congressman and reapply for expedite through them. You will be sending all of your supporting documentation through them. Get everything anything you can to support your case. It's your congressmans job to help with this so just Google search your local office and one of there representatives should be able to help you out

Don’t give up guys. I send in a expedited request on a Thursday night got a response on Friday event that they will send my request to the embassy got an approval email the following Monday afternoon. Make sure you post good evidence to back up your request attach it to the email they won’t ask for evidence it they will just deny it.
