I am still waiting as well, but I think it depends on which local office your application is handled.

I just received the RFE notification but don’t know what the RFE is for, waiting on the mail to know the details. . if anyone feels like sharing the RFE they got to give me an idea on what things they ask for, I would appreciate it. I’m also interested in how long they take to respond

mine is just, so called, medical RFE, requesting i-693

mine was something about my Honduras birth certificate. I already sent the document again, i hope everything goes fine.

I reread the notification and it says Request for initial evidence’ is that different to ‘request for additional evidence’? anyone know?

I think it’s just the same as RFE. should the word initial or additional is used

I think RFE and RFIE could be different. For instance, the medical RFE is always issued without “initial” on its title.

@eb2-niw, that’s not correct. I’m just checking my request letter, and they ask for I-693 (and for that only) as RFE.

I think you are agreeing? :) I didn’t do concurrent filing so it can’t be that, unfortunately

Did anyone get their RFE responded to yet? mine was tracked by fedex to get there signed for, sept 8th but registered as received 16th. Guess it’s a 30-60 day wait?

29 days and still counting since status changed to response to RFE received, NBC office.

I am waiting for 65 days and still no update from USCIS. Today, I tried to call them as it is over 60 days. unfortunately can't reach them. welcome for any suggestions.
