IOE is supposed to be faster than MSC

IOE is e-filing that means the document is already in the computer MSC is a physical document that need to enter the information in the computer

IOE receipt just means that the petition was filed electronically. it has no effect on the speed of a case.

@lilo pelekai, I sent the I-130, I-485 package to Chicago drop box by fedex. I got the receipt number like IOE09**. So, it doesn't mean electronic filing. I don't think MSC and IOE has any bearing on the speed of processing.

@Buzz king that’s right, when you send it to chicago, that’s mean you want your case to be IOE e-filing.

Buzz king - you don't have to be the one filing electronically. USCIS receive the paper filing and they submit it electronically to the service center of their choice. IOE is USCIS Electronic Immigration System (ELIS). look it up. 🙂 so again, you may send the physical documents to USCIS and they will scan everything and send electronically to the service in charge of processing your case. that service center then is going to send you an IOE receipt number with instructions on how to follow your case online after your create an account with the code on that receipt. 🙂

leby - that's not very accurate. Chicago is not the only one to send the cases electronically. USCIS make the decision themselves on how they send your petition to the corresponding service center, whether physical documents or electronically. and they're opting for electronic filing more and more. my EAD petition was sent to the dropbox for Nebraska in physical form and Nebraska sent me an IOE receipt number because the dropbox scanned everything and sent it to them electronically. that's what IOE means, electronic filling from USCIS.

Israel - it means they have delivered the document(s) you were waiting for after they approved it. now have you received what you were waiting for from USCIS? If not, call them as soon as possible.

no the card was just pick up yesterday but l guess maybe is my green card
