Request for Initial Evidence
Hi everyone, I recently submitted my case to USCIS, at first it was the I-130 and last month I submitted I-485 and I765. today my husband who is the petitioner got a notification saying they took action on the case. when I logged into my account there was a RFIE, however when I logged into my account on lawfully it said that I received a request for initial evidence or a notice of intent to deny. either way I am little freaked out. anyone in a similar situation?

@ScarletCastillo I submitted the I-130 in February and the the I-485 and I-765 were sent by mail last month

it’s a request for initial evidence. the one on lawfully doesn’t know the difference. it could take a few days for the letter to show up on thr online account but don’t worry. RFIE is for birth certificate or medicals or something simple. relax! I got one too and all was fine @Na67755 M

I sent them the Medicals with my application. also I submitted evidence when filling the I-130 and I thought they would use that but from what I’m seeing I have to submit it again for the I-485. the cases are in separate service center’s apparently. thanks so much. also do you think I can upload the files online or I should mail the documents in response? again thank you so much for the helpt @w s 🇨🇦🇺🇸

always send everything required by each application, then add anything you think can help you. I never got RFE : I always send more than needed. for each application always check the checklist according to your situation and submit all necessary documents at once. it’s an opportunity for you to send anything useful to avoid another RFE

@Na67755 M you have to answer the questions that they ask and send it if they ask. I sent and uploaded online.

I was freaked out too when I got RFIE… I uploaded all the documents they asked for and within 2days of uploading the document my case was approved. I’m still waiting for interview date (76 days and counting)

@Lava Khatri congratulations I hope they wave the interview for you. they have also scheduled my biometrics appointment today. I’m a little nervous but glad things are moving
