Just buy a fully refundable ticket, that’s what I do. Much better than dummy tickets, got denied boarding with a Onward ticket once, but it has also worked in the past, it’s a ticket reservation. From that day forward I started booking return flights w/ a CC, a fully refundable one, cancel after arrival at destination.

@Vince S Thank you. I wasn’t planning on boarding with one. I needed one for the embassy. When applying for visa, they were asking for it. I will buy one if I get the visa. I didn’t want to buy a ticket and maybe get denied the visa.

@Miss M mine was on a friday .VFS sent my passport the ambassy on monday july 15 when i woke up on july 17 i received a message that my passport was ready for pick up . i went to the VFS location the same day to pick it up .everything went. smooth. I traveled in august,i came back last month.i went to France,italy,barcelona

@waiting game I hope mine will be that smooth. I did it yesterday around 11am and around 3pm I got a notification saying this “Your visa application ref no **FRA1HU2……** has been dispatched to the VFS Global Services Pvt Ltd, Washington in the USA for processing. The thing is the Canada embassy is waiting for my passport to issue my visa and I have 30 days to send it. They approved my visa on the 17th What country did you apply for? France? When they give you the French visa, you can go in the shengen space without requiring another visa for that country? When you apply for France visa, do the give you the French visa or Schengen?

@Tee Boy Hello. I had to do my biometric. So finding an available appointment that’s what took a long time. I think the next available date was 2 weeks from the date I submitted my application. and They gave me a visa 3 days after my biometric.
