good luck if your case is being handled by Potomac I filed in May of 2021 my case went to review in September and no updates after that

Same situation, Potomac service Center, October 11 2021, being actively reviewed.

the whole process is so slow and stressful

our 130 is in Potomac since April 2021. actively reviewed six months ago. I filed the 129F last week

PD date is July 28, 2021 and on February 21 2022 my I-130 it updated to actively being reviewed. is anyone on Texas processing center. what next or how long does it take this center

I filled April 5th they moved it to Potomac actively reviewing since 6 months can this k3 fasten it but seems they are in March cases now

@kl and @renjul. yes, sorry lol. My i130 was approved 2 days ago and k3 denied today. K3 wait time was 3-7 months and i130 was 10.5 to 14.. We filed the i-130 in October 2021 and K3 end of November 2021. It definitely made the difference!

@Oyindamola if u don’t mind me asking did they tell you why it was denied because I was planning to apply for a k-3 as well

@Tuli I'm sure the notice will when I read it but they also don't really give out K3s. Like one person has gotten one so far this year I believe. People do it to show they don't want to be separated and I guess it helps. I can't speak for everyone but it helped me! It's easy and free, you lose nothing by sending it in, ya know?

@oyindamola de santamaria, did you say the K3 was free?, did you not apply for i129f, or what form did you fill to apply for K3.

@kl, yes it's free. the i129f form is free if you've already filed the i130.

@renjul I was at Texas for the i130 and I think it got sent to Potomac because thats where I got my approval notice from but my k3 was sent to Potomac at the beginning.

I guess I don’t need an i-129f cuz am petitioning for my spouse. y’all have being so helpful it good since we can’t get much information from Uscis.

@tuli I petioned my spouse too. it's the same form but for the k3, the k3 is for spouses.

@renjul I'd still send in the k3 (i129f). Doesn't hurt ☺️

seems the are close by to April they are approving March at Potomac let me wait and see what happens and pray it will be approved soon

Tuli me- I have been seeing numerous couples share that, filing the K3- visa (i129f form)... has helped speed up their approval for the USCIS phase. apparently, K3 visas are not being issued, so it is automatically denied. They instead are prompted to go ahead and approve the i130. it's not a guarantee, but I have been seeing many say... within 1 week-month of filing the 129f after filing i130.... they got approved.

@oyidamola Thanks for sharing! Did you had to submit form I-797 Notice of action? Because I saw on uscis website and says to submit it if you submitted I130 before I-129.
