Still waiting, RFE response submitted ~42 days ago š„µ
Submitted the birth certificate they asked me for, they received it on May 8th (40+ days). Status still says ācorrespondence was received and uscis is reviewing itā. What can they be reviewing so much about a birth certificate š¢, itās probably that they sent the RFE upfront for the missing document (Iām sure we included it upfront) and now they are taking the time to review everything else included. Iām hoping the next update is ānew card is being producedā and no extra steps šš»

@Guma G what was the birth certificate you submitted initially and what you have submitted for RFE response?
B JJun 19, 2024
@Guma G I had a similar situation with my wifeās application. It came as an RFIE. my attorney said it was a preliminary check. I had also sent it with my filing but they asked again.
The notice you received is their standard update and does not necessarily mean they are actively just looking at the birth certificate. It just means the application is on someoneās desk and they have not yet started adjudicating.

@Guma G as are we all. Iām hopeful because I see the push by USCIS to get EB GCs out.
