Texas processing time
Hey everybody,
I checked Uscis website yesterday and it says 32 months for employment based greencard at Texas service center. What do you think guys? I have applied almost a year ago still nothing no ead no advance parole.

Right now those times aren’t useful, because USCIS has modified their processing strategy to consume a huge amount of employment green cards this year. Texas cases will only be approved by NBC: if you have not been transferred out of Texas yet, your case won’t progress forward.
Is your I140 approved?
M SMay 31, 2022
@H TX thank yo so much. I got RFE for I-140, my lawyer is gonna submit the document this week. Hopefully after submit it I’ll have transferred to the NBC soon
H TXMay 31, 2022
No worries - sending good vibes! Yes once you have responded to RFE, and they approve I140 in Texas, you case will be transferred to NBC probably within weeks of that approval. Stay strong 😉
M SMay 31, 2022
You really gave me hope. I was sad since I saw the processing times. I hope everyone get their responses soon. Have a good one 🙏🏻
Eda EdaMay 31, 2022
i140 approved in feb 2021. still waiting for 485 for Texas. just saying it might not be just couple of weeks unfortunately
M SMay 31, 2022
@Eda I see, I hope your case get transferred soon or approved in Texas
H TXMay 31, 2022
@Eda I’m sorry to hear that is frustrating. Agree that their transfer process is not clear. I was only transferred last week even though my case was eligible for months
H TXMay 31, 2022
USCIS have stated they want to ramp up transfers and approvals in final quarter of year - so I hope the weeks of transfer rings true
tas smithMay 31, 2022
whatever you do just pray it get out of Texas had to close my i485 case from there and refile wasted my money
r vMay 31, 2022
hi H TX
where did you hear that all EB1 ( employment based) cases will be transferred to NBC. My case along with my family has been stuck in Texas since 8 months but i am not seeing any thing coming and uscis timelines are concerning. we have family urgency with death in family and haven’t been able to go. One of my sons case has issues and after refilling it went to NBC in Missouri and he received Advance parole approved last week. we all still desperately waiting.
J JMay 31, 2022
do you guys know if they are still transferring cases to NBC? My case is still at TSC and I am concerned it will not be tranaferred
M SMay 31, 2022
@J J when did you sent your documents to the Texas? I sent it in July 9
r vMay 31, 2022
mine was conveniently filled and sent to Texas on Sep 20th 2021
r vMay 31, 2022
concurrently *
J JMay 31, 2022
@M S I sent them on June 30 last year
M SMay 31, 2022
@J J same here still waiting
J JMay 31, 2022
let's hope for the best then, I called uscis as I got a little bit worried cases not transferred would not be moving forward but according to the representative that is not the case.
r vMay 31, 2022
How can I talk to USCIS to know if they have already picked my application.
I googled and found 3 links that mention about transferring of i485 of employment based cases from Nebraska and Texas.

J JMay 31, 2022
well I cannot say they gave me specific information on whether my case was picked or not, I just asked if it was true that if your case had not been transferred then it would not be processed this year. What I did is I called them, said I needed to know my case status and then I said I no longer had access to my receipt number.
r vMay 31, 2022
what do you mean by saying you no longer had access to your receipt number? I desperately need to know what is happening with my case and these agents dont respond appropriately and disconnect the line, it's frustrating.
J JMay 31, 2022
if you already talked to an agent, and they did not give you the information that you needed I am afraid you no longer have a choice but to wait. No longer have access to receipt number was the voice response I gave so that I could be connected to an actual agent but that is not an issue in your case
Eda EdaMay 31, 2022
i talked to agent thro emma last week. the agent said that if case doesn’t need interview or rfe, Texas won’t transferred it another center or local office. but I don’t know if this is accurate or not
J JMay 31, 2022
mmm interesting... not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing though
r vMay 31, 2022
please read the links i sent earlier. it says if case is already opened and being reviewed by agent or rfe is sent then they won’t transfer those cases until the responses are received
H TXMay 31, 2022
@Eda Eda that is not accurate, the opposite is true. If there is no outstanding RFE, the case is not being actively reviewed, and no need for interview, EB transfer to NBC from TSC is likely (linked from r v articulate this)
M SMay 31, 2022
I agree with @H TX in this case. One of my friends case transferred to NBC and after then he got RFE then responsed to RFE and got approved
J JMay 31, 2022
haha I haven't got an RFE nor a transfer notice, I guess my case is in a limbo then 😥
Eda EdaMay 31, 2022
those links doesn’t give any information if your case stuck at Texas. I applied in nov 2020. since then there is no updates.no transferred no rfe. if the case is transferred out, green card comes in couple weeks. if stays, its gonna take 32 months. mine is pending for 17 months already
M SMay 31, 2022
That makes sense @Eda hopefully you get update soon
r vMay 31, 2022
only 485 cases that have got approved i-140 will be moved to nbc per the links. For people waiting i140 approval still will have to wait for approval before 485 is moved. i have been waiting since 8 months to hear about i140 approval
J JMay 31, 2022
have you guys had your fingerprints taken already?
M SMay 31, 2022
yeap mine taken in October 2021
J JMay 31, 2022
yeah me too, I think you and I are in exactly the same boat
M SMay 31, 2022
that’s right! hopefully we’ll hear good news soon
Eda EdaMay 31, 2022
well my i140 got approved over a year ago still no transfer. i am talking from my own experience. they started transferring cases from 2021 recently, but no news for 2020 or earlier cases. good luck to everyone.
r vMay 31, 2022
i submitted my biometrics in a month after submitting application in sep 20,2021
J JJun 28, 2022
