Undeniable Frustration
2 years passed with 20k available GC and they could not pass the year 2020.
I don’t think they spend 2 years for PD 2020.
They spend 2 years for consular processing backlogs. Because CP has lots of dependent. It takes lot of GC available for the 2 years.
And now a new FY start with no movement or even a month movement indicates that the backlogs are still huge. I don’t understand why it is still huge after 2 FY. We closed for Covid just 2 years and now after 2 years they haven’t finished.
A year working hard with only 4 months advance.
It is very frustrating that we have experienced this reform plan that focus only on Consular Processing while AOS keeps waiting for them. I guess we are all ready for the visa to be available and almost all CRP. But for what reason they storing us here for more than 2 years.
One of my AOS peer I know have cried a lot while doing work today after know there is no movement.

COVID was great for AOS people during Consular lockdown but made it worse after the Embassy started to open back up. Plus the amount people who applied after Covid was exponentially higher.

@BDV PUBLIC ENEMY #1 AOS takes all the blame

it is so funny that the illegal immigrants came here and get their status without paying any damn pennies is really pissed me off with Biden administration. Meanwhile we came here legally and spent tons of money for this shit to obtain the “American dream”. I think I have to sleep in order to believe it’s real. I am so fed up!!!
Mk AsifSep 12, 2024
I can’t believe in a new fiscal year there is no movement at all. I can’t sleep at all nor can’t work.

hang in there guys. feeling the exact same thing. four years working daily almost. tiring. but we’ve done so much. let’s keep at it.
Th NgSep 12, 2024
@yellow banana 🍌 and the bad news is it is likely that they just gonna approve up to May 2021 this FY, we still have to wait 2-3 FY more. This is unfair and all AOS gonna leave this shitty program to save their lives and after that live a miserable life

On the positive side, be grateful because AOS can work while waiting here in the US while consular has to wait.

I feel like this is why they started providing 5 years EAD/AP. The backlog must be huge

I 100 percent believe it’s election stunt to approve as many family based visa as possible before election. It just doesn’t make f sense how it didn’t even move three months. This is bullsh***
up downSep 12, 2024
@J A how exactly is that a thing to be grateful?
Natasha kKSep 12, 2024
Hello guys , don’t lose hope , my PD date was 22nd October 2020 , I had my application on pending for I-485 since September 2022 , I got approved yesterday, can’t explain my happiness in words , keep up the hopes , It will work .

@yellow banana 🍌 what plant you working on?
Just A Cat Waiting For GCSep 12, 2024
@J A when you think about it, it's actually us who are suffering. CP people got to file their application and go about their normal life until their time comes. They still have their life and family in their countries, they can still travel wherever they want. Whereas AOS people must spend money maintaining status until they can file I485, wait until having EAD to work on shitty paid job with tons of unpredictabilities, or if they don't wanna work yet, they need to spend more money studying and some couldn't even come back home to visit their families. Their future plans may as well be delayed, they basically stuck.
I know we all try to be optimistic but everytime Visa Bulletin comes out, it's just a slap in the face.

i am on the same boat, i can feel what you feel, just wonder why we still get stuck after 2 years of backlog, i feel frustrating.
G CSep 12, 2024
sooner y’all realize we are in big mess its better. final action date not moving and ony filing date moviing till May means supply for this fiscal yrs is till 2021 May. demand we don’t know but final action date not moving means there is huge backlog of cases. expect to reach 2021 may end of this year or less. also it will most likely take 2-3yrs to complete whole 2021
up downSep 12, 2024
@Natasha kK congrats!
up downSep 12, 2024
@G C agree with your analysis. 2-3 yrs for 2021 might be a bit overestimate though. perhaps for 2022 pds, it might take that long
G CSep 12, 2024
@up down my assumption are based upon not moving single month. 5mth taking whole 10kvisas when there are less than 2k aos cases that means 8k are CP. so that 40k as per dos visa waitlist ppl wating are for starting 2021 till 2023.
Natasha kKSep 13, 2024
@up down , Thank You !
EB3 Other WorkersSep 13, 2024
@G C 40k are people who filed i140 not i485. People with PD after May 2022 were not able to i485.
G CSep 14, 2024
@EB3 Other Workers CP doesn’t have 485 they file 140 and wait for final action
