Waiting to hear from the USCIS for NOA2 for K1 Visa case
Anyone here get their K1 Visa petition reviewed yet for NOA2 by the USCIS for the month of April ? I'm the U.S. petitioner waiting to hear back from the USCIS since they received our case since April 5th, 2021. They sent me a receipt for NOA1 on April 22nd 2021. It's been over 9 months wait now ! I believe they process cases on the date they receive them ? Or is it the date they sent out receipts ? This process has been frustrating and exhausting ! People that are in the same boat as me just want to be with our loved ones and start new chapters in our lives ! Hope people can receive good news soon including myself 🙏

I’m also April 5,2021 but we haven’t heard anything as of yet this is so frustrating I’m ready for this to be over with now.

your priority date is the 22nd
Gabi StubbsJan 10, 2022
the date they send for your noa1 is your date to start counting from.

I’m on the 19th. We called a few days ago, and spoke with someone and they said to wait about two weeks to hear from them cuz they’re processing April. So we’ll wait. if that doesn’t happen then we’ll take other actions.

Ahh ok. That's what I thought but was not too sure. So they are on processing date April 10th according to the USCIS ! So I'm thinking that's not accurate ! If they are on April 10th already then why have others not heard anything about their case? Does the cases go through different review processes at parts of the USCIS? For example, the case makes it to the desk of doing background checks on the beneficiary & petitioner ? Then it's passed off to the next department that reviews bonafide relationship where they check your social media accounts. Then to the next department for review like some type of immigration background check ! I'm curious to the process and what they do when reviewing processes for applications for K1 Visa petitions

Well I'm shocked you were able to get thru to someone ! I'm glad you were able to talk with someone because I tried calling a few times and all I could do is get information from a automated machine about my case that I already knew about

USCIS is working on cases from March. I believe people from the 8th of March and forward are waiting for their case to be approved.
Gabi StubbsJan 10, 2022
@JJP when you want to trick the system to speak to someone directly, you can say “schedule an appt” or “info pass” and it’ll put you on to an officer. Also, how the filing works, each officer is given a stack of files from x date to x date. Some officers work faster than others. There are in fact people who are being approved in early April, they’re posting them in the facebook groups. There are also people in early March who are still waiting. At the end of the day, it’s all about the officer who has your case in their pile. Are they a fast worker or a slow worker. It sucks, because it seems like there’s no quota that these officers have to meet. But just this past week, I’ve seen March 31st, April 5th and an April 8th get approved so we’ll see what happens.

We are at 311 days now, receipt date from 5th March 2021 and still have not received our NAO2- it’s honestly infuriating how long this is taken… I don’t understand why they post on the USCIS website that the estimated processing time is 6.5-8.5 months.. when I’m seeing so many people at the 10 month mark now and longer, ugh!

I'm April 08 and still waiting 🤷🏽‍♀️

yeah I guess only one service processing center is now doing the K1 Visa. Nebraska sent all their K1 Visa applications to the California lockbox office. so it's probably a big reason why still no movement. just added to the already backlog.

@jjp I have the exact same date and PD as you. No news yet. They told me the same two weeks but nothing so far. Not even sure if someone’s looking into it
