A Journey of Approval

Hello everyone, I wanted to share my journey with USCIS, which has been both challenging and enlightening. Back in February 2023, I submitted my application, filled with hope and anticipation. As the months passed, my excitement turned into anxiety due to the lack of progress. Determined to expedite the process, I tried every available option. I submitted four expedite requests, each one denied. Reaching out to my congressman and senator, I received only generic responses, which felt like hitting a wall. Even attempts to contact the office of President Biden and the Ombudsman led to the same discouraging result no progress. Frustrated but not ready to give up, I decided to pursue the last option available to me: filing a mandamus lawsuit. I contacted a lawyer named HIL in May, paid the fees on the 22nd, and we filed the lawsuit on June 5th. The summonses were delivered to USCIS on June 26th. Incredibly, just one day later, on June 27th, my case was approved! This experience taught me a lot about persistence and the importance of exploring every possible avenue. While it's disheartening that a lawsuit was the only way to get things moving, it was a necessary step. Sometimes, it seems, the system only responds when you push back hard enough. For anyone else out there facing similar struggles, don’t lose hope. Keep pushing, explore every option, and don’t hesitate to take legal action if necessary. Persistence pays off, and your journey can have a successful outcome too. Wishing everyone the best in their own journeys.
