This is a progress report for the ninth month of my application process on Lawfully (NOV-2023).
I'm currently awaiting a decision on my EB2-NIW I-140.
There have been no updates since last month (As you all know new fiscal year is coming), and I'm approaching the current 11-month (avg80% of cases being reviewed) review timeline for this type of application.

My PD is march 20, 2023(EB2-NIW), very close to become current. I have valid I-20 until end of next year.
My passport will expire in October, I would really appreciate it if anyone has any experience adjusting their status with expired passport while maintaining their student status

Aug ‘22 PD - CRP since May ‘23 - Current since Jan ‘24
Patiently waited for this update since I went to CRP last year. Looking forward to receiving the card in hand in the next few days / weeks.
Tried a service request in Jan ‘24 for AP and GC and received a generic reply for both in Feb and Mar ‘24. AP approved last month and GC today.
With talks of retrogression again was expecting this update later in the year but was pleasantly surprised to see this today. The long wait is almost over!

I-765 online filing pending AOS
Hey, has someone tried to file for I-765 separately with their pending I-485? I filed I-765 with AOS but I-765 was rejected due to incorrect fee. I resubmitted again I-765 with explanation and it was again rejected. I made a new application on 4/1/24 for I-765 and have never received any response, reject or receipt from TSC.
I am contemplating filing online for I-765 since my I-485 is pending at NBC. Can someone advise if it’s possible
my opt EAD is expiring in June and will lose my job if I don’t have a renewed EAD

AOS vs IVP
I got I-140 approved in EB2-NIW with PD Nov 2023. I am from ROW country and my PD is not current. My current visa is expiring soon. By the time my EAD expires the PD is not likely to be current for filing either. So I am planning to go for IVP. Has anyone in this group gone for IVP instead of adjustment of status? If so, what are the risks involved as opposed to doing adjustment of status?

IS IT POSSIBLE TO GET 2 RFEs FOR ONE I-140 PETITION (EVEN AFTER RESPONDING TO THE FIRST ONE AND NO ACKNOWLEDGEMENT YET)???
So, I got an RFE for my NIW case in Early September, it was for me to submit academic credentials and post-bachelors work experience. I submitted on October 20th. No update yet on my case status.
This morning, I got an update that another RFE was sent out today.
I don't understand this?
could this be a glitch or something really is up about the 2nd RFE?
Who knows anything about this or has experienced it before?
is it common to get 2 RFEs?

I have submitted financial documents to NVC at National Visa Center 31 Rochester Ave Suir 100 Portsmouth, NH 03801. However, I was reading online that the document's mailing address is DOS Visa P.O Box 65446 Potomac Falls, VA 20165.

RFE after i—140 approval
Hi everyone. so wanted to know if anyone has similar experiences. kinda weird but well. I filed for i-140 Nov last year and got approved early this year. received my approval notice. Then several 30+ days later I receive RFE on the already approved i-140. Lawyer responded to the RFE basically saying we have the approval and it stands because we didnt get any notice of revocation or that the approval was in error. its been 4 months since that letter was sent to USCIS. No response yet. any ideas #i-140, #NIW

1. When filling out my DS-260. In the PETITIONER option for me it is SELF because Im the applicant, but for my family it would be the same? the other options do not match! Should I fill SELF for them too?
My PD is 12/23/22 Im not yet dated but I have been able to enter all the information, can I fill out the DS-260 and send it in even though I am not dated yet?

I-140 (NIW) receipt notice delay?
Recently filed I-140 (NIW) petition package. The package was delivered at Dallas Lockbox on 5/23/2023.
I haven't received a receipt notice, the check has not been cashed.
Emailed Lockbox support about 2 weeks ago, no response. Several Emma chat that ended abruptly by the representative directing me to email lockbox support.
I am getting really frustrated... Anyone in the same boat? Should I refile? #receiptnotice #I140 #NIW
Priority Date
My immigration options are given below:
October 2022: My employer filed PERM, but not yet approved.
January 2023: NIW I-140 approved.
May 2023: EB1A I-140 approved.
I have the following queries:
1) I want to clarify if having an approved PERM means I have obtained the priority date. Is it necessary to file an I-140 after receiving PERM approval through the employer to secure the PERM priority date?
2) If my PERM is not approved, but I file I-485 when EB1A becomes current, what happens if my PERM gets approved after 1 or 2 months of I-485 filing? Can I update the PERM priority date on my submitted I-485 application with the approved PERM? Will this shorten my waiting time for the I-485?
